For the last twentyfive years, as creator and designer at Mimi A La Mode, I have been inspired to create beautiful things that help women feel pretty, sexy and young.
From my early teens I dreamed of a career in fashion, but wanted it to be something unique. Something extraordinary. Designing jeans and t-shirts would not do for me.
After graduating from design college I gained valuable business experience by working various jobs in the fashion industry.
It was time to start my own business.
One day I looked at my shower cap and noticed that it wasn’t very pretty. Then I saw a music video of Madonna wearing a striped bonnet with a big satin ribbon bow and thought, “I should design shower caps as glamorous as that.”
That is how Mimi A La Mode was born.
